Jinwen Chen DMD, MS

Dr. Jinwen Chen graduated from and earned his DMD at Tufts University, School of Dentistry
with Honors in 2001. He received the Alumni Award and was on the Dean’s Honor Roll. He has practiced dentistry for more than ten years in the Greater Boston area and is experienced in all aspects of general dentistry, but is especially practiced in wisdom tooth extraction and implants. Dr. Chen’s practice philosophy is: Treat all patients the way he would treat family.

Before Dr. Chen went to Tufts, he had been practicing clinical dentistry for many years after receiving his DDS and MS in China:

1993 to 1999: Research Fellow, Georgia Health Science University

1985 to 1993: Assistant Professor, Oral Surgeon, and Clinical Instructor at the, West China University of Medical Science, Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery 1983 to 1985: Assistant Professor at Zhejiang University, School of Dentistry, Department of Anatomy.

MS and Certificate in Oral Maxillofacial surgery: West China University of Medical Science, China, 1988

Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS): Zhejiang University, School of Dentistry, China 1983

Dr. Chen is an active member of the America Dental Association (ADA) and the Massachusetts Dental Association(MDA).

Dr. Chen loves spending his spare time with his family and enjoys fishing and many other outdoor activities.

Yi Zhang DMD, PhD

Dr. Yi Zhang has been practicing dentistry for more than ten years in the Greater Boston area after graduating from Tufts University, School of Dentistry in 2002 with the Alumni Award: “Clinical Excellence in Restorative Dentistry”. Dr. Zhang is very confident in working with patients of all ages and cares deeply about her patients comfort.

Before going to Tufts, Dr. Zhang had many years of experience in both clinical and research dentistry after receiving her PhD and DDS in China.

1993 to 1999: Research Fellow, Georgia Health Science University, College of Dental Medicine, Georgia, USA

1982 to 1993: Assistant Professor and Clinical Instructor at West China University of Medical Science, Department of Prosthodontics.

PhD and Certificate in Prosthodontics: West China University of Medical Science, China, 1990

Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS): West China University of Medical Science, China, 1982

Dr. Zhang is an active member of the America Dental Association (ADA) and the Massachusetts Dental Association (MDA). She has been recognized as a “Top Doctor and Dentist of Boston” by the Consumer’s Research Council in 2011.



Dr. Zhang loves spending her spare time with her family and enjoys cooking, sewing
and hiking.
